Gracious & Vivacious

Main - level remodel

Gracious & Vivacious
Located in Simpsonville, South Carolina, this main-level remodel is a refined expression of family-focused luxury interior design. Designed for a young, vibrant family recently relocated from Texas, the project called for a complete transformation of a dated, closed-off kitchen into an expansive, open-concept living space tailored for entertaining and everyday function. Lindsell Interiors approached the project with an emphasis on creating a thoughtful balance between elevated style and family practicality. By removing a butler’s pantry and reconfiguring the original layout, we significantly expanded the walk-in pantry and introduced a central island with seating for five—perfect for both casual meals and hosting. A dedicated coffee and bar station, paired with a reimagined fireplace wrapped in modern plaster and rich walnut, brought warmth and architectural interest to the living room.

The project’s design vision centered on creating a kitchen that served as the heart of the home—where functionality met sophistication. The open layout enhances connectivity between the kitchen and living room, making the space ideal for entertaining guests or keeping up with three active boys. Subtle yet impactful materials, curated finishes, and smart spatial planning reflect the family’s lifestyle while adding long-term value to the home. This luxury remodel in the Greenville area exemplifies how tailored design solutions and seamless execution can turn a transitional home into a timeless retreat for modern Southern living.

The transformation of this Simpsonville, SC home extended beyond the kitchen, incorporating cohesive design elements throughout the main level. Custom lighting fixtures and a harmonious color palette were introduced to unify the open-concept space, creating an inviting atmosphere for both family gatherings and formal entertaining. The integration of durable materials ensured the home could withstand the energetic lifestyle of a family with three young boys, while still exuding sophistication and warmth.
